Soaking it Up

Hard, if not IMPOSSIBLE, to believe that two weeks from today will mark the start of school and kindergarten. YEOW. As we walked home from lunch at The Spot today {super unhealthy, but truthfully, super yummy}, Matt compared the walk to the distance we would be traversing each day to and from school. And then I wanted to cover my ears and say, “NO NO NO NO NO. I don’t hear you!!!”. School starting?!? NO! End of summer vacation?!? NO!

So today, I’m trying to really immerse myself in the sand and surf, soaking it all up and enjoying vacation. Picking up seashells, getting into the ocean, eating calorie laden meals, lounging in the afternoons over movies, allowing some glasses trading to occur and enjoying two cups of coffee each morning. Loving it. What last things are you quickly trying to squeeze in before the fall routine begins?

  1. Since you are so fond of the sea I am wondering if you have read,Gift from the Sea, by Anne Morrow Lindbergh? I think you would really enjoy it. she compares the different shells she finds to the phases of a woman’s life.
