Merry Christmas Eve from the Goughs.
I am breathing a sigh of relief as the Cavalry (aka: Grandma Judy, Aunt Suzanna, Uncle Carl & Cousin Marie!) arrived last night.
Having a blessed few hours to grocery shop, get last minute gifts and drink my coffee without littles needing attention.
We wish you a wonderful year ahead in 2014 and lots of moments to slow down and savor family and friends over the week ahead.
Here is our Lego Christmas Letter with a little funky formatting….
And on this day, I can’t help but think of our dear friends, the Bunnells who lost their sweet Zachary nine years ago today. December 24th always feels like a very bittersweet mix of joyous, family celebrating and remembering this boy who was gone way too early. Here’s a video Doug and Laurie are a part of that tells a bit about Zachary’s fight and precious spirit. For me, after a tough 24 hours with eldest, whose was given the middle name “Zachary” to remember, I feel a swift kick in the rear to be grateful for this gift of time and health and adventures with my boy.
May you savor those moments too…
